GDOS Check

GDOS-Check is programmed by Christoph Bartholme with IdeaList users in mind. GDOS-Check performs two really useful functions:

• Print out a test page to determine the physical printing limits of your printer
• Generate character tables for the installed GDOS device

GDOS-Check can be used with all versions of GDOS, SpeedoGDOS and NVDI. The 'Test page' option outputs a page to help you accurately determine the margins for your printer and these can be entered into your IdeaList adaptation file (IXA).

The 'Font list' option outputs a sample of each installed font according to the settings in the main dialog and the editable ASCII GD_CHECK.INF file.

By default the INF file prints a title line for each font including:

• Font name
• Size in points
• Font type (bitmap/vector/Speedo etc)
• Font ID
• Four sample lines from the character set.
