Last updated 24th August 1998Thing v1.27e is here!
Following on from the release of Thing v1.20, which requires a new key, Thing v1.27e is now available in English along with the long awaited improved icon assign utility. New keys for users of pre v1.2x versions cost £8 via InterActive.
Thing is the alternative desktop of choice for many Atari enthusiasts.
Commercial releases of Thing are also bundled with sales of the Milan
TOS compatible and the N.AES alternative operating system.
This Shareware release is available thanks to the mammoth effort put in
by TransAction's Peter West who took over where I left off with Thing
v1.20 - thanks Peter!

BubbleGEM Release 7e
BubbleGEM adds speech bubble style
help to supporting applications and has established itself as one of
those essential system add-ons most Atarians have installed permanently.
This is the first English release since BubbleGEM R04e and includes a
configuration CPX, choice of font and style of bubble.
Atari Computing Convention 1998 (ACC '98)
ACC '98 will take place on Saturday November 14th 1998 at Bingley Hall, Staffordshire Showground, Stafford from 10am to 4pm. If you want to see what's possible using Atari machines and meet other Atarians having fun doing Atari stuff why not come along and join in the fun? TOSBOX
TOSBOX has recently been updated to v1.05, here's a summary of the changes:- Limited sound support has been added, just enough to get the system error bell and keyclick if desired.
- The bug has been fixed, which had been introduced in version 1.04, where sometimes a parent program's open files would be closed when the child terminated.
- A CPU bug affecting leftward shifts of magnitude zero has been fixed.
- Native vt52 emulation speeds up text-only applications greatly (though this feature cannot be used in the presence of GFA BASIC and certain programs compiled with it).

Freedom v2.20

Adresse v2.20e
Just when I thought development had ceased there's a new release of Adresse!
The main new feature in this release are flags. A list can be created by the user and items flagged to any database entry. This function is ideal for business use. For example, a list of stock items can be flagged to match each customers purchases making it easy to keep track of exactly who bought what.
Just when I thought John Mcloud had thrown in the towel two new releases appear!

Stewart v1.05e
- Errors causing display garbage in the clock-popup area and the clock itself resolved.
- Solved problems with MagiC v5.20.
- No more "ghost characters" in jinnee windows.
- Problems with small menu-fonts fixed.
