There are plenty of audio CD-ROM players around, the only difficulty
seems to be finding one that works!
CD-Player, programmed by Alexander Clauss works with all audio capable CD players and is happy with either Atari MetaDOS driver or ExtenDOS - in fact CD-Player is included on the ExtenDOS master disk because it's much nicer than the one provided!
CD-Player runs as a program or desktop accessory and is happy under MultiTOS, Geneva and MagiC. All the usual tricks such as scan, shuffle and program play are provided along with a time calculator capable of figuring out how many tracks you can squeeze onto C60, C90 or C120 cassettes and can even sensibly split the tracks between the two sides.
A database includes fields for the CD title, artist and track titles. After saving the database that CD will automatically be recognised making it easy to set up play lists for your favourite albums or listen to individual tracks by selecting them by name or track number from a popup menu.
